I-8c The Wonder of It All: Child Development (CDA 8) Learn about the mystery of physical, social, and cognitive development of young children. Guidance and discipline require an understanding of child development and appropriate expectations.  

NOTE: THIS IS AN AFTERNOON SESSION   I-2b The Magic of Music (CDA 2) Learn music activities to enhance your curriculum, support language and literacy, and encourage development by making and using simple musical instruments to accompany singing.

I-3c Guidance for Children of All Ages (CDA 3) Learn positive guidance techniques, preventive measures, and tools for behavior management that help children grow socially and emotionally. Guidance, not punishment, is the answer for behavior.

NOTE: This is an afternoon session I-2f Making Stories Come to Life (CDA 2) Learn how to keep children attentive during story time by using storytelling, puppets, flannel boards and activities. Have fun at this interactive make and take session.

E-1c   *HEALTH: Enriching Food Activities and ServSafe (CDA 1) Learn how to incorporate nutrition into your curriculum with hands-on activities Learn to provide a sanitary and safe food service avoiding food-borne illnesses. This session meets the requirements for ServSafe and additional health training

E-7c Orientation to CLASS (CDA 7) (ADM 3) Learn about the Classroom Assessment Scoring System that can help you be more effective in your work. Find out what to expect when you are observed.     Trainer: Haley Poe

I-1d Creative Indoor Environments (CDA 1) (ADM 1) Learn how to set up learning centers for a developmentally appropriate program and arrange your classroom to maximize learning and minimize discipline problems.
