Melissa White

Melissa received a BA in Early Childhood Education from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, then traveled south to the University of Maryland where she earned a MEd in Curriculum Instruction and Development. At UMD, she worked at the university's child development laboratory school, The Center for Young Children, as a preschool and kindergarten teacher for eight years. Another  move took her to Rhode Island College in Providence, where she  taught kindergarten  for eight years at the college's laboratory elementary school, the Henry Barnard School. Back south, she ventured to Natchitoches to teach first grade for 2 years at NSU's Elementary Laboratory School and then became director of Northwest Louisiana Technical College's Child Development Center. Now she is a Child Care Specialist and Technical Assistant for  NSU Child and Family Network
